The 31st International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) will be held at the Centre des Congrès Pierre Baudis downtown Toulouse (France) May 14-19, 2006. The ICASSP meeting is the world’s largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on signal processing and its applications. The conference will feature world-class speakers, tutorials, exhibits, and over 50 lectures and poster sessions on:
Toulouse, the capital of the Midi-Pyrénées region, is situated on the Garonne river, in a plain midway between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean. Toulouse is at the heart of a historically rich but relatively little known region, with many castles and walled villages bearing traces of the life of the times, mingling religion and renaissance values. The warm glow of red bricks and tiles gives it its nickname, "la ville rose" the rose red city. Space and aeronautical activities have also found a particularly fruitful ground for development in Toulouse.
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length, four-page papers, including figures and references, to the ICASSP Technical Committee. All ICASSP papers will be handled and reviewed electronically. See the Paper Submission page on the website. Please note that the submission dates for papers are strict deadlines.
Papers submitted with a student as the first author will be eligible to enter the competition.
Tutorials will be held on May 14 and 15, 2006. Brief proposals should be submitted by September 23, 2005, to D. Slock and P. Regalia, and must include title, outline, contact information for the presenter, and a description of the tutorial and material to be distributed to participants. Special session proposals should be submitted by July 8, 2005, to J. Zerubia.
