Title: Frequency Estimation from a Particular Almost Periodic Function with Application to Laser Vibrometry Signals
Authors: Céline Levy-Leduc, Université Paris-Sud, France
Abstract: We consider the problem of estimating the frequency of an unknown periodic function from observations which consist of a particular almost periodic function and additive white noise. First, we propose a frequency estimator based on a penalized least-squares approach and we explain how to implement it in practice. Then, we compare its performances with the optimal ones forecast by a theoretical study. At last, we apply our processing to some signals arising in laser vibrometry and compare it with a classical technique in such a field.
